Since the launch of the Moscow Tram Diameter (MTD):
πΉ Modern Lvyonok-Moskva trams completed over 23,000 trips.
πΉ The total distance covered on the route amounted to 617,000 km.
πΉ The daily peak passenger traffic increased to 78,000 trips, which is 1.5 times higher than our forecasts.

The T1 operates according to the standards of an above-ground street metro: minimal intervals, convenient transfers to the metro and Moscow Central Diameters (MCD), and the smooth ride of autonomous cars. This approach allows residents and visitors to save travel time.
“The First Moscow Tram Diameter has become the most in-demand tram route. In just two months, Muscovites made over 3.8 million trips on it. This result shows that the format of diametrical tram routes with minimal intervals and modern cars is maximally convenient for passengers. Following the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, we continue to develop the tram network and integrate it into the unified ecosystem of the capital’s transport to make trips even faster and more comfortable,” – noted Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
