Rosneft held a series of Energy of Life corporate runs in Moscow, Irkutsk and Ryazan. About a thousand people took part in the competition. Both Company employees and their families participated in the competitions.
Participants competed in runs of 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km in age categories ranging from 18 to 64 years old. Children’s races were held on 500m and 2.5km courses. The running routes passed through urban forest parks. At the end of the competition, more than 400 winners were awarded prizes in various age categories.
The athletics events attracted a large number of fans to support the oilmen athletes. The organizers set up a field kitchen at the sports festival, where anyone could warm up with hot tea and pastries or fortify themselves with soldier’s porridge. Entertainment areas were organized for young athletes, where children participated in various sports competitions. On-stage performance groups gave a concert for all the guests of the festival.
Supporting mass and professional sports, as well as healthy lifestyles, is one of the key areas of social work for Rosneft. In the regions of operation, the Company builds multifunctional sports complexes, playgrounds and ice rinks, and organises mass sports events for children and adults.
The employees of the Company regularly do sports and compete in various sports disciplines as part of the Energy of Life corporate sports and fitness movement. More than 127,000 employees take part in the Company’s activities.
